Description
Doreen Driffen has been out bush looking for new shapes and sizes to inspire her arts practice. These are from the Needlewood tree (Hakea Leucoptera). She tried to teach me the Luritja name but, I’m so bad! It sounded like Ilkili but I’ll get her to write it for me next time.
They have 3mm holes pierced already and the 100g packs contain 80+ pods.
The seedpods are always in pairs on the tree and come apart when picked. These would be great for kids craft/threading or for incorporating into your existing art/jewellery making practice.
The wood tone comes out beautifully when a little olive oil is rubbed into the pod.
