Expertly painted by aboriginal artist Doreen Driffen.

Doreen Driffen is a Luritja woman from the Watarrka (Kings Canyon) region in the Northern Territory. She predominantly creates hand-painted seed jewellery. She is an accomplished painter and creates beautiful canvases full of colourful bush tucker and creatures.

Doreen now lives in Alice Springs with her husband and extended family. She is a prolific jewellery artist. She collects bloodwood gumnuts, ininti seeds and quandong from the bush around her homelands. The seeds are then dried, trimmed, and cleaned. She pierces a hole for threading, then spends many hours patiently adding the layers of colour and design.

She is proud of her work and shares her skills with all her family, teaching the young kungkas how to make beautiful, eco-friendly, wearable art.
