Eucalyptus Erythrycorys – Helmet nut/red capped gum

These delightful red square shaped caps pop off the fruit of E. Erythrocorys.  The fruit that stays behind as a pod is huge – about 5cm x 5cm and unusual in shape.

Craft Use
They are quite strong and lend themselves to easily pierce a hole in the top for craft, fibre art, weaving and jewellery.  Can be pierced by drilling or burning – recommended to rehydrate before drilling to avoid cracking
